What Anxiety Can Feel Like
Emotional Symptoms
racing thoughts
overthinking
feeling on edge
emotional overwhelm
irritability

Physical Symptoms
tight chest
racing heart
dizziness
nausea
restless sleep
muscle tension
Sometimes anxiety doesn’t even feel like “anxiety”.
It can simply feel like:
“Something feels wrong, but I can’t explain why.”
Why Anxiety Happens
Anxiety is not weakness, failure, or attention-seeking.
It is a nervous system response.
Your mind and body are trying to protect you and this is often due to some of these reasons:
stress
overwhelm
past experiences
pressure
uncertainty
learned patterns of thinking
Over time, this response can become overactive.
So even when there isn’t a clear danger, your system can still react as though there is.
