What Anxiety Can Feel Like

Emotional Symptoms

Why Anxiety Happens

Anxiety is not weakness, failure, or attention-seeking.

It is a nervous system response.

Your mind and body are trying to protect you and this is often due to some of these reasons:

  • overwhelm

  • past experiences

  • pressure

  • uncertainty

  • learned patterns of thinking

Over time, this response can become overactive.

So even when there isn’t a clear danger, your system can still react as though there is.
